Dear Friend,
They tell me that you will listen. I don't know if I believe that. They tell me that you are just like me, but how can that really be? Are you not the same as you have always been? I don't know if it really matters.
You may have read "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", if so you may recognize a slight homage already. If you haven't, it is no matter.
Am I the same as I have always been? What I want to explore; no, what I need to explore is are we able to change? Are we able, once recognizing our inhibitions within ourselves to improve or are we destined to live chained to the same angst filled baggage.
I would like to think that we can grow. I have felt that I have grown over the last 15 years, but is that just an illusion. Have I really improved, or have I just been ducking away into my own comfort zone, avoiding anxiety building situations?
This is what I want to explore in these letters to you.
Regards,
-Angst
